Silverhawk Aviation Academy

Silverhawk Aviation Academy is a flight school in Idaho. It trains airplane and helicopter pilots. The school was founded in 1998 and says it has been training pilots since then. The site describes it as Idaho's only FAA-approved Part 141 flight school offering both airplane and helicopter training.

The school has two sites. The Idaho address is 4505 Aviation Way in Caldwell. The Oregon office is in Ontario. The site menu also lists a Caldwell FBO and an Ontario FBO. Training options include helicopter and airplane programs, a degree program, pricing for the pilot program, and a Redbird simulator.

Students train one on one with experienced flight instructors, according to the site. The school says it wants students to feel part of a family. The maintenance team keeps the Robinson helicopters and Cessna airplanes ready for lessons. A first flight lesson starts with a brief ground lesson, followed by hands-on instruction.

The school also runs helicopter tours and charter flights. The site says the pilots offer sightseeing tours in the Treasure Valley. It says charter flights can go anywhere in the Pacific Northwest. Tour and charter bookings are handled through the website.

The site lists graduates who now fly for airlines and helicopter operators. Named examples include a United first officer, a SkyWest first officer and a pilot at TEMSCO Helicopters. The site says the school gives students a strong foundation of knowledge and skill.

The contact page lists the Idaho phone number as 208 453 8577. The Oregon phone number is 541 889 9197. The site also lists a Facebook page and an Instagram account.
