Sanders Aviation

Sanders Aviation runs the Sanders Flight Training Center, an FAA Part 141 flight school in Alabama. It also operates a full-service FBO at Walker County Airport, Bevill Field (KJFX), in Jasper.

The school trains first-time student pilots, military pilots moving to the airlines, and people changing careers. It has three training locations, in Jasper, Tuscaloosa and Huntsville. It flies a fleet of more than 30 aircraft and runs seven days a week. New classes start every week. The school says more than 8,000 graduates have started aviation careers. On-site medical exams, testing, housing and career mentorship are available.

The Professional Airline Pilot Career Track takes students from no flight experience to airline-ready in as little as 12 months. It covers the private pilot certificate, instrument rating, commercial single-engine and multi-engine, and the CFI, CFII and MEI instructor ratings. Students can earn a private pilot certificate in as little as 8 weeks. Full-time students can finish the instrument rating in as little as 4 weeks.

Other courses include a commercial pilot single-engine course, a multi-engine add-on, and ATP-CTP courses, one of them offered with Delta Professional Services. A Military to ATP Transition Course is approved for VA education benefits. Financing choices include the Sallie Mae Airline Career Loan, a Stratus Financial loan and a Lumion payment plan.

The FBO at KJFX is open around the clock and is Titan branded. It offers 100LL and Jet A+ self-serve fuel for aircraft with a wingspan up to 70 feet. Full-service Jet A+ with Prist additive is also available. It accepts the US Government Aircard. Pilots get a lounge with Wi-Fi, satellite TV and coffee, a flight planning area with weather briefings, a conference room, vending machines and catering on request. A courtesy car and rental car help are offered. On-site A&P mechanics are available only on a limited basis.
