About Safarilink Aviation

Safarilink Aviation is an airline based in Kenya that serves safari destinations. Its website says it flies in Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar. It sells seats on scheduled flights and also offers charter flights.

The fleet is chosen for bush airstrips, which make up most of the places the airline serves. It also has to cope with very short flight times between many airstrips. The airline lists 11 Cessna Caravan C208B aircraft. Each is a single engine turboprop with a Pratt and Whitney PT6 engine, two pilots and up to 12 passengers. The site calls it the workhorse of the fleet.

The airline also flies de Havilland Dash 8 aircraft. The Dash 8-106 carries up to 37 passengers and the Dash 8-315 up to 52. The Dash 8-311 carries up to 50. All three have pressurised cabins and leather seats. The site says the mix of seat sizes allows scheduled flights on busy and quiet routes, and charter flights for large and small groups.

Passengers can check in online from 18 hours to 2 hours before the flight and download a boarding pass. They can pick their seat when they check in. Check-in counters close 45 minutes before international flights, to and from Zanzibar and Kilimanjaro, and 30 minutes before other flights.

The website also has tools to find a reservation, enter a coupon code and search for holiday packages. Package styles are beach, safari, and safari and beach, from three to eight days. There is a careers page and a contact form.
