About Royce Global

Royce Global is a family-owned chemical company in New Jersey. It was founded in 1929 by Albert J. Royce, Sr., and is now run by the fourth generation. It began as a maker of textile chemicals. Over the years it grew into many industries, and aerospace is one of the markets on its site.

The first plant was in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Today the company says it runs three manufacturing sites in the United States. It uses warehouses in North America, Europe and Asia. It also has joint ventures in the Middle East and China, and a technical center in Tianjin, China, opened in 1996.

The company has added new lines step by step. In 1977 it built a zinc powder plant and bought Passaic Color and Chemical. It began making indigo dye in 1978. In 1979 it added vat dyes and a new plant in Charlotte, North Carolina. Color concentrates and masterbatches for plastics followed in 1989. Micronized waxes for inks, coatings and plastics began in 1990. In 1995 it formed Royce International to supply epoxy products.

Royce Colors makes dyes and colorants for plastics, paper and textiles. The range includes solvent, basic, vat, disperse, direct and naphthol dyes. The company also sells color concentrates and polymer additives. The site says it runs one of the few dye synthesis plants left in the United States.

The ReOxy line covers epoxy resins, curing agents, reactive diluents, accelerators and modifiers. These are used in coatings, flooring, adhesives, composites and electrical uses. The curing agents are also listed for aerospace use. Royce offers specialty chemicals too, such as sodium hydrosulfite, sodium nitrite, zinc borate and textile auxiliaries.

The markets listed on the site are plastics, paper, textiles, coatings, foams, adhesives, aerospace, rubber, metal working, water treatment, hydroseeding, wood preservatives and inks. Royce says its staff offer technical and regulatory support. It also says it can make custom solutions for client needs.

The website has pages on the company history, locations, products, markets, news and contact details. Each product group has its own page with details of its uses.
