About Rotor Technologies

Rotor Technologies designs and builds autonomous unmanned aircraft. It is based in Nashua, New Hampshire. The company was founded by a team of MIT aerospace engineers. Its technology is used in several unmanned helicopters.

The main product is the RPX Flight System, an unmanned avionics suite. The site says RPX is approved for unmanned missions in agriculture, aerial work, cargo transport, offshore logistics, and special missions. It can operate at night and in low visibility. The company says RPX is not subject to ITAR and exportable.

Two aircraft use RPX. The R44 Airtruck is a heavy lift unmanned aircraft based on the R44 helicopter. The R44 Sprayhawk is an agricultural spray aircraft with a 100 gallon capacity. The site says it can cover 240 acres per hour.

Rotor works with Robinson Helicopter Company to build unmanned aircraft on proven helicopter platforms. The site says the work applies to crop dusting, aerial firefighting, and utility work. The company says its technology reduces accidents and lowers operating cost.

The news section lists several items. One is a September 2026 demonstration of R44 Airtruck offshore cargo capability at Acadiana Regional Airport in Louisiana. Another from April 2026 covers the company moving toward production with the unmanned R44. In February 2025, Brazil's aviation authority ANAC permitted commercial operations of the Sprayhawk.

The company develops, certifies, flight tests, manufactures, and services its products at its campus in Nashua. It holds regular factory tours and flight demonstrations. The site lists a phone number, +1 (833) ROTOR-88, with weekday hours from 9am to 7pm Eastern time.
