The history starts in Los Angeles in 1929. Robert Hadley founded the business there. It first made stamped laminations and equipment racks. With the popularity of the tabletop radio, it began making transformers. During World War II, the company made military grade, hermetically sealed devices. The early 1990s brought a move to Ventura.

In the 1970s the company moved into space grade transformers and inductors. The site says it helped early applications of transformers for exploration and scientific spacecraft. In 1979 Robert retired, and ownership passed to his son Arthur.

The company designs and builds custom transformers, inductors, reactors and coils. The site says coils are used to make a magnetic field with or without a core.
