About Rich Aviation Services

Rich Aviation Services is a flight training school in Texas. It teaches new students and corporate pilots at Fort Worth Meacham International Airport (KFTW) and Decatur Municipal Airport (KLUD).

The school has guided pilots since 2002. It aims to give personal training on a schedule that suits each student. Its instructors are FAA certified and bring many years of real-world flying experience. Both locations offer the same fleet, instructors and service. Decatur is its newer location.

The school provides Part 61 flight training for initial pilot certificates. It also trains for initial type ratings and pilot in command recurrent programs. Its courses meet both FAA and insurance standards. Students can book a discovery flight to try flying first.

Private pilot training typically takes 45 to 75 flight hours, and students usually finish in three to six months, depending on schedule and weather. The instrument rating plans for 40 instrument hours plus cross-country time, and many pilots finish in two to four months. Commercial training, single-engine and multi-engine, aims for about 250 hours of total time. The school also offers a multi-engine rating. The instructor path covers CFI, CFII and MEI, with syllabus-driven preparation.

Corporate training includes initial and recurrent courses for King Air, Citation and other aircraft. The school offers simulators as well as a choice of aircraft. Students say the fleet is well chosen, instructors are friendly and encouraging, and training is flexible and good value.

The school is part of the Cessna Pilot Center network. Fort Worth offers both flight and corporate training. Decatur offers flight training. Customers can also ask about aircraft rental.
