RGV Aviation Ltd is a general aviation maintenance company based in Hangar SE4 at Gloucestershire Airport (EGBJ), near Cheltenham, United Kingdom. Ralph G. Vincent founded it in 1973, renting a single hangar bay. The company built its first hangar in 1985 and returned to a new purpose built SE4 hangar in 2012. His sons Stuart (joined 1983) and Alec (joined 1992) now run the business.
Services
RGV holds UK CAA Part 145 approval (UK.145.00215), Part CAO approval (UK.CAO0017) and is an FAA repair station (R82Y530X). It maintains piston and turbine aircraft below 5,700 kg MTOW, from ELA 1 types to very light jets.
- Cirrus Platinum Service Centre, the only one in the UK, maintaining over 70 Cirrus aircraft. It was the first Cirrus service centre in Europe to carry out CAPS replacements.
- Daher TBM service centre, from the TBM 700 to the TBM 940
- Piper service centre since 1996, with a focus on the PA-46 series
- Composite repairs since 1994, with structural repair approvals for Cirrus, Diamond and Cessna (Lancair/Columbia); metal repairs and insurance work
- Paint shop, from touch-ups to full resprays, and a parts department
Aircraft and avionics
The avionics shop opened in 1992. It supports Garmin and Avidyne glass cockpits, S-TEC autopilots, Trig transponders and L-3 Skywatch/Stormscope, and does in-house installations. It also performs FAR 91.411 and 91.413 altimeter and transponder checks on N-registered aircraft.
