QT Aerospace

QT Aerospace is a woman-owned provider of airframe composite repair, headquartered at 8400 Directors Row in Dallas, Texas. The company holds a WBENC certification and says its reputation has been built over about 30 years. It works in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul and serves the commercial aircraft market. Its stated mission is to offer quick turn times and cost-saving repairs while keeping aircraft downtime short.

Repair capabilities

The site lists a full service composite repair offer for airframe parts. Customers identify the part that needs repair, ask for a quote and send the part in. The company says it quotes upfront for various fleet types, backs its work with a warranty and makes sure the material is current with service bulletins.

• Airframe composites, including various fairings and doors
• Aerostructures, including cascade repair
• front edge parts and most flight control surfaces
• Heat blanket repair
• Wiring harness repair

The home page explains the kinds of damage that composites can suffer, such as cracks, delamination, impact damage and wear, and notes that repair methods like resin injection, bonding and patching depend on how severe the damage is. It also says that facilities are normally certified by the FAA or EASA and use non-destructive testing to confirm that a repair meets the original design.

QT Aerospace says it is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for aircraft composite emergency requirements, whether the customer is an operator or a supporting company. Its working hours are listed as Monday to Saturday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. The blog covers topics such as secure crating for aircraft composites, which the company links to fleet readiness and safety.
