PRP Aviation, LLC

PRP Aviation LLC is an aviation services company based at Ocala International Airport (KOCF) in Ocala, Florida. It also operates at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (KPIE) in Clearwater, Florida, and Falcon Field (KFFZ) in Mesa, Arizona. The company started with a single airplane, and most of its founding team served in the US Air Force, Navy and Army. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with weekends by appointment.

Services

The maintenance department does annual inspections and maintenance on Cirrus, Epic and Meridian aircraft. PRP states its technicians average 30 years of experience. The Director of Maintenance holds an A&P certificate with Inspection Authorization and has over 40 years of military and commercial maintenance experience.

The avionics shop is Garmin certified. It upgrades Cirrus G1 and G2 aircraft to Garmin G500 displays with a Garmin autopilot, offers the Garmin Perspective+ upgrade for Cirrus G3 and G5, and does RVSM checks, transponder certifications and pitot-static tests at KOCF. Financing is available.

Flight training

PRP is a Platinum Cirrus Training Center and an FAA Part 141 approved flight school. It trains private pilots in the Cessna 172 and SR20 and offers instrument, commercial and instructor certificates. Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilots teach transition, advanced transition, recurrent and Embark courses. An upset prevention and recovery program uses a simulator, the Cirrus and an Extreme Decathlon, along with spin endorsements and introductory aerobatics.

Other services

PRP also offers charter in a Cirrus SR22 and Vision Jet, aircraft management and aircraft rental.
