PlaneSmart! Aviation

PlaneSmart! Aviation is a private air transportation and aircraft management company based at Addison Airport in Addison, Texas, north of Dallas. It is a licensed FAR Part 135 air carrier that charters and leases a managed fleet of jets, turboprops and high performance pistons, manages aircraft for owners, runs a flight training centre and brokers aircraft sales. The company also offers a corporate shuttle service and a fintech payments platform for business aviation called BrixleyXchange.

Services

• Charter and lease: on demand charter and air lease plans in which lessees share access to one or more aircraft and either fly themselves, if qualified, or hire a pilot
• Aircraft management: inspections, maintenance and servicing under the FAA and manufacturer programmes, records and logbooks, billing and correspondence with insurers, authorities and tracking services, cosmetic upkeep and advice, with optional charter or leaseback to offset costs
• Shared ownership: structuring and running partnerships for jets and turboprops, and shared equity on the company's own Cirrus piston fleet
• Pilot services and revenue generation through the Part 135 charter certificate
• Training: private pilot, instrument rating and recurrency programmes in the student's own aircraft or the company's piston training fleet
• Brokerage: buying and selling pistons, turboprops and jets, including help finding a partner for shared ownership

The managed fleet shown on the site includes the Pilatus PC-12, King Air 350 and light and mid size jets.

Cirrus programme

The company operates a fleet of Cirrus aircraft that members can fly themselves across the United States, offers shared equity in those aircraft, and uses them for transition training into high performance piston flying. Its brokerage page shows a 2012 Cirrus SR22T sold with TKS known ice protection, air conditioning, a fixed oxygen system and Rosen visors.
