Piston2Jet

Piston2Jet is a flight school in Northern Virginia. Its headquarters is at 10600 Aviator Avenue in Manassas, Virginia. The school offers Part 61 and Part 141 flight training, test pilot training, and services for government and business customers. Its motto is a Latin phrase, and its line is to let dreams take flight.

Primary flight training runs from private pilot to ATP, with many endorsements in between. Advanced courses cover the finer points of flying, and one course teaches the Garmin G1000. A Part 141 test pilot program is run by a chief test pilot who is also the chief instructor and a co-founder. Students can also get career mentorship to plan their path in aviation. The instructor staff has over 120 years of combined aviation experience and more than 35,000 flight hours. The team includes certified flight instructors, many with instrument and multi-engine ratings, as well as a director of maintenance and customer service staff. Several team members are retired military.

Students describe a friendly culture, honest advice about time and cost, and well kept trainer aircraft. One student trained in a Diamond DA20, and the school says it has several Diamond aircraft. Its core values are integrity, efficiency and safety.
