Piedmont Flight Training

Piedmont Flight Training is a flight school at Smith Reynolds Airport in Winston Salem, North Carolina. The site also calls it Piedmont Flight School. The school trains pilots from private pilot certification through certified flight instructor certification. It also offers instrument, multi engine and commercial training.

The school says it is one of only a few professional flight training schools under FAA Part 141 and Part 61 rules. It says it has more than three decades of experience and is the only flight school in its region with that history. The school also offers training for CFI, CFII and MEI certificates.

The site says the school is the only UNC system flight school partner. Through Elizabeth City State University, the school is the exclusive provider of flight training for the university's aviation science degree. Liberty University is also listed as a partner. A new online aviation degree with flight training at Smith Reynolds is described in the press section.

Programs listed include private pilot, instrument rating, commercial pilot, flight instructor, electives, and full motion simulators. The school also lists a student hub, an orientation process, and finance options through Flight Training Finance.

A discovery flight lets a person fly for about 30 minutes with a certified flight instructor and learn the controls. The school says its training runs seven days a week, and its equipment is available 24 hours a day.

Student testimonials on the site describe the school as a family and say students move on to airline careers. The contact page lists the phone number 336.575.2525 and a contact form. The school has social pages on Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube and LinkedIn.
