About Palm Beach Helicopters

Palm Beach Helicopters is a helicopter flight school in Lantana, Florida. The school was established in 2001 and trades under the legal name Airmen Testing and Training Inc. Besides pilot training, it sells sightseeing flights over Palm Beach County, arranges charter and aerial photography flights, and offers helicopter maintenance.

Flight training

The school is FAA Part 141 approved and holds FAA self examining authority, which its website describes as rare among helicopter schools: a student who completes a course with examining authority receives the rating without a further practical test. Courses listed include introductory flight, private pilot, instrument rating, commercial pilot, airline transport pilot, flight instructor and instrument instructor. Turbine transition and recurrent training, night vision goggle courses, external load training and a career pilot program are also listed, as are conversion routes for holders of Canadian licences. The school is approved for veterans and is authorised under federal law to enroll non-immigrant international students, who must obtain TSA clearance and an M1 visa first.
