Orban Microwave

Orban Microwave is a designer and manufacturer of antennas and RF and microwave subsystems founded in 1996. Its products cover frequencies from VHF to K-Band and serve space, defence, avionics, satcom, GNSS, radar, marine, commercial and industrial programmes, and the company operates a quality-certified development, manufacturing and test facility where it builds everything from a single high-reliability antenna to a complex integrated array. It describes its approach as aligning to customer requirements, whether for a new design or a derivative of a proven product, and backing delivery with attentive, on-schedule support.

Antennas

• Antenna arrays and AESA systems, wideband and omnidirectional antennas, helical and quadrifilar helix designs, conformal antennas, narrowband elements, low- and medium-gain omnidirectionals and high-gain directional antennas
• Product sheets on the website include L- and S-Band planar isoflux antennas for satellites and a dual-beam S-Band satcom antenna array
• Options to customise standard antennas or to design a unique solution for a specific platform or mission

RF and microwave subsystems

• Frequency converters, low-noise amplifiers, power amplifiers, transponders, T/R modules, RF switches, modulators and demodulators, synthesisers and DC/DC converters across VHF to K-Band
• Components that can be optimised for specific space, satcom, avionics and radar applications
• Technical articles that explain the techniques behind the company's product development with a focus on practical application rather than mathematics

Quality

Orban Microwave commits to meeting or exceeding customers' technical, contractual and project requirements. Its Quality Manual defines a quality management system that applies the principles of Total Quality Management, with a Quality Manager acting as management representative to keep the system effective and continuously improved, and every team member shares responsibility for the standards. The engineering team works with customers from concept through prototyping, testing and production.
