Nedre Romerike Flyklubb

Nedre Romerike Flyklubb (NRF or NRFK) is a flying club at Kjeller Airport near Oslo, Norway. It calls itself Norway's largest flying club. The club was founded in 1955 and is run entirely by volunteers, led by an elected board and appointed section heads. It is a sports club within the Norwegian Air Sports Federation (Norges Luftsportforbund).

More than two thirds of its members hold a pilot licence. The club's main job is to let members fly safely and at a reasonable cost, and to give them a place to share their interest in flying.

Flight school

The club runs its own flight school for beginners and for advanced training, plus yearly follow-up of each pilot.

• PPL (Private Pilot Licence) and LAPL (Light Aircraft Pilot Licence)
• CB-IR instrument training on the Cessna 172
• Tailwheel checkout on the Piper Cub
• Aerobatic training with the aerobatics group on the Mudry CAP 10C

Aircraft

• Aquila A210, the two-seat school aircraft
• Two Cessna 172 Skyhawk four-seaters, one with a glass cockpit (EFIS)
• Two Piper PA-19 Army Cubs, run by the vintage aircraft group
• Mudry CAP 10C two-seat aerobatic aircraft
• Vintage aircraft flown with the club's veteran aircraft group, including a SAAB Safir, Tiger Moth, Fairchild Cornell, Cessna Bird Dog and de Havilland Chipmunk

Club life

The club house at Kjeller hosts club evenings with internal courses, talks and planning of group trips and fly-ins in Norway and abroad. Members can also help maintain and fly historic military aircraft with the veteran group. Instructors, a chief flying instructor and section heads for flight safety, operations and technical maintenance keep the club running.
