MRK Aviation is the fixed-base operator at Lorain County Regional Airport (KLPR) in Elyria, Ohio. It has been on the field since 2003 and has managed the airport for the Lorain County Board of Commissioners since 2006, including the upkeep of the airport's 1,149 acres.

Services

The on-field maintenance shop is a Cirrus Authorized Service Center. MRK works on light single and twin piston aircraft, light sport aircraft, single and twin turbine jets and rotorcraft. Its A&P staff has more than 35 years of experience and factory training for Cirrus, Schweizer rotorcraft and Learjet. Services include:

Annual and 100 hour inspections and pre-purchase inspections
Engine repairs, propellers, landing gear, tires and wheels
Major and minor repairs and alterations, aircraft structure work
Heater decay tests, aircraft weighing, instrument replacement and oxygen service
Airworthiness Directive research and maintenance consulting

FBO and facilities

Line service is available 24 hours a day with 100LL and Jet A (with or without additive), de-icing, lav service, GPU starts, detailing, freight handling and catering with 24 hours notice. MRK offers community hangars, T-hangars and private hangar condos, a pilot lounge and a crew car. The company also provides snow removal and baggage-room door repair at Cleveland Hopkins.
