Mountain Secure Systems

Mountain Secure Systems (MSS) is a manufacturer of ruggedized electronics and custom system packages in Longmont, Colorado. It has operated since 1985 and serves aerospace and defense, commercial aerospace, heavy equipment, oil and gas, and industrial markets where electronics must work in harsh and dangerous environments. Its work is built in a 15,000 square foot facility in Longmont.

Customization

MSS adapts standard solid state drives where a drop-in part does not meet program needs. Options include removability, ingress protection sealing, extended operating temperature, secure and destructive erase, custom connectors and flex cabling, EMI protection, and protection against salt fog, dust, humidity and fungus to meet DO-160 and MIL-STD requirements. The company also builds integrated chassis that combine storage with single board computers, power supplies, cooling, backplanes and mil-spec connectors in VPX, VME and cPCI formats, with Linux and Windows software integration.
