About ModernHawk,

ModernHawk is a cloud based maintenance tracking software for aircraft. It helps operators and maintenance teams manage work orders, parts, inspections and logbook entries. The company says its tools work on helicopters and fixed wing fleets, including piston, turbine and utility aircraft. Pilots, mechanics, quality staff, dispatchers and leaders use it each day.

The company began in 2017. Its team saw a need for software built for utility and field operations. They had worked in the utility helicopter industry for about 15 years. The Army began selling off Black Hawks through the top program. The team wanted a system that could import each aircraft's status, components and inspections. In December 2019, it released a fully digital database for single or twin engine aircraft, vehicles and support equipment.

The software covers many tasks. Users can see real time data on a whole fleet or one aircraft and track inspections. Inventory management is built into the maintenance tracking. A warehouse feature lets users drag and drop replaced parts. This updates the part times and serial numbers for the logbook. A multi sign off feature lets users sign several inspections at once.

Operational tools are included too. The software supports Part 135 pilot management, where pilots enter flights and update duty logs. It also has crew tracking, scheduling, receipt management and job costing. An integrated safety management system lets users run risk assessments and file hazard and incident reports. The results show on one dashboard.

ModernHawk says it meets the requirements of FAA Advisory Circular 120-78A, which covers electronic record keeping and digital signatures. Operators can apply for the A025 operations specification to use full electronic maintenance records. The company says several clients already hold that approval. It offers help with the application.

Customers describe it as easy to use. One says it helps forecast scheduled inspections and component overhauls. Another says that pilots can sign off a pre flight or check aircraft status from a phone. A third likes the warehouse feature.

The mission of the company is to make aircraft maintenance tracking software that any company can use. It aims to improve safety, efficiency and record keeping. The website has articles on topics like digital maintenance management and its effect on aircraft value.
