Mistwood Aviation Services, LLC is a Cirrus flight training, maintenance and aircraft management company at Spirit of St. Louis Airport, 18032 Edison Avenue, Chesterfield, Missouri. Patrick McLaughlin and his father established it with Cirrus Aircraft in 2016. It is a Platinum Cirrus Training Center, one of 40 worldwide, and a Platinum Cirrus Authorized Service Center.

About the company

Mistwood is an FAA Part 145 repair station. Owner Pat McLaughlin is a Platinum Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot with more than 4,000 hours of Cirrus instruction, and he also instructs for the COPA Pilot Proficiency Program. The company cites more than 9,000 hours of Cirrus flight instruction. Dan Bauer, Director of Maintenance, has more than 12 years of experience managing maintenance operations.

Flight training

Mistwood trains for the private, instrument, commercial, CFI and CFII certificates and offers discovery flights. The training fleet has grown from a single SR20 to Generation 6 and Generation 7 Cirrus aircraft, and the fleet pages also list the Cirrus Vision Jet. Aircraft management services include maintenance coordination and aircraft readiness.
