MetSafe

MetSafe is a meteorological web services company for the aviation industry. The company was created in 2018 by aviation and weather experts. It runs a cloud based weather platform. Aviation businesses can use the platform to add weather information to their own applications.

The company says it sits where IT, aviation, and weather meet. Its platform is meant to act as a meteorological back office. The site says the platform is built for air navigation service providers, airports, and other aviation industries. It describes its interfaces as simple web APIs that follow the SWIM standard.

The company lists four services. Access To Data is a catalogue of global meteorological and environmental products. Weather Profile extracts weather information around a four dimensional trajectory. VigiAero predicts weather impact on air traffic flow and capacity management. The Airport Service provides weather and environmental data for airport solutions.

The site says the company draws on products from several meteorological service providers. It says its cloud design is meant to give ATM grade availability, backed by a service level agreement. The site says the goal is to let customers focus on their own applications.

The site describes the company's history. It says the first SESAR programme, known as SESAR 1, showed that weather information was still not used well in air traffic management. The company was formed to explore new services on the SWIM network. The CEO is Kamel Rebaï, an aeronautical engineer with 20 years at DGAC and seven years at MeteoFrance.

The CTO is Maxime Warnier, a senior expert in meteorology, air traffic management, and software development. The site lists a phone number, +33 (0)6 60 23 03 09. It also has links to X and LinkedIn. The site does not give a street address for the company.
