About Matternet

Matternet designs, builds, and operates autonomous drone networks for package delivery. The company provides ultra fast, low cost, and zero emission transport options. Its integrated approach covers the full delivery process from takeoff to landing. The company markets itself as the new Network for Matter. Customers can request service through the company website.

The Matternet system includes several connected hardware and software components. The aircraft carry lightweight packages over urban and suburban areas. The dock functions as a landing zone and charging hub for the drones. The portal gives customers physical access to send and receive goods. A software platform controls flight operations and manages the entire network. The newest platform is called the Matternet M3. It serves as the next generation autonomous delivery aircraft for the company.

The company focuses on three main solution areas for different markets. It serves food and retail businesses with quick aerial delivery options. It supports healthcare providers with reliable transport for medical supplies and specimens. It also works in new economies where drone networks can create entirely new delivery infrastructure. This work spans both developed regions and emerging markets that need better logistics.

Matternet holds FAA Type Certification for its drone delivery system. This certification relates to the design and production safety of its aircraft. The company maintains a dedicated section on regulatory approvals on its website. Compliance with aviation authorities is a core part of its standard operations. The approval covers the system that the company uses in commercial service.

The drones transport lightweight packages through the air. This method reduces delivery times for packages. It also removes carbon emissions from the transport process. The company promotes these operational benefits across its food, retail, and healthcare service areas.

Matternet continues to expand its operational footprint and partner base. It works in developed economies and new economies. Its technology targets sectors that need frequent deliveries. The company invites potential partners and customers to connect through its website.
