MasterMover Ltd designs and builds electric, pedestrian operated tugs for moving heavy wheeled loads from 500 kg up to 300,000 kg. The company was founded in 1997 and continues to design and manufacture its machines in house in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. It focuses on delivering electric material handling solutions that replace manual pushing or pulling of heavy items.

Aerospace is one of the company's main markets. It also serves the automotive, pharmaceutical, logistics, retail and other industrial sectors. Its electric tug systems are used on factory floors and assembly lines to move large and heavy wheeled loads with greater safety and control.

Within aerospace, the tugs handle aerostructures, wings and composite parts. They move turnover jigs, moulds and tooling through production areas. Other applications include aero engines, engine build stands and fan casings. The equipment also handles component and kitting trolleys, mobile work platforms, staging, defence assemblies and MRO handling tasks.

The product range includes the SmartMover for loads up to 2,000 kg. The MasterTug handles up to 20,000 kg and the MasterTow also covers up to 20,000 kg. The PowerSteered range moves up to 70,000 kg and can handle more using the patented MultiLink system. These machines are built for precise movement of heavy wheeled loads.

The company has delivered more than 20,000 machines to customers in more than 70 countries around the world. It maintains subsidiary offices in Germany, France and North America. It also works with an extensive distributor network that supports local customers across multiple continents and time zones.

Aerospace users named on its website include Boeing, Airbus, Rolls Royce, Bombardier, Safran, Pratt and Whitney, GE Aviation and BAE Systems. These customers use the tugs for assembly, maintenance and manufacturing tasks that require reliable movement of heavy components and tooling.
