About Marsh Brothers Aviation

Marsh Brothers Aviation Inc. is a manufacturing and maintenance organisation at 3180 Mainway, Burlington, Ontario, Canada. It designs and makes self-lubricating polymer bushings, bearings, seals and wear components for aircraft landing gear, flight controls and actuation systems. The company is the sister company of Thordon Bearings Inc., part of the Thomson-Gordon Group, which brings polymer engineering experience from the marine, industrial and hydro-power industries. Founder George (Sandy) Thomson started the business in 1991 when he bought a hangar and FBO from Bob and Bill Marsh; the maintenance side was later sold and the company turned to non-metallic landing gear parts at the suggestion of a Transport Canada inspector. It received its manufacturing approval in 2013 and its AMO approval in 2016. Camilo Siqueira is general manager.

Materials and products

  • AeroTough GF, a proprietary self-lubricating polymer with lubrication built into the formulation, so no grease or oil is needed; the site says parts weigh about one seventh of equivalent bronze or steel parts
  • AeroTough White and the AeroLas Black, White, Grey and Flex grades
  • Bearings, bushings, seals and wear components that need no grease, sold by aircraft type: Aerostar, Baron, Bonanza, Cessna, Cirrus, King Air, Mooney, Pilatus and Piper
  • Fuel cap washers and spinner washers
  • King Air flap roller bearing kits, approved by Transport Canada in 2024 and by the FAA in February 2025

Maintenance services

The Burlington shop offers propeller governor overhauls, functional tests and run-up cycling, plus blade root seals and prop seals, listed with prices on the site.

Cirrus products

The Cirrus collection on the site contains the Cirrus Cleveland Brake Master Cylinder Upgrade/Repair Kit, listed at US$198 in October 2026 (rates change; confirm with the company). The kit fits the OEM P/N 14269-001 (Cleveland 10-24C series) brake master cylinder made by Parker Aerospace (Cleveland Wheels and Brakes) and replaces the original O-ring and rod wiper with an AeroLas-Flex lip seal and an engineered polymer gland, so the cylinder can be rebuilt instead of replaced. It includes an installation tool, instructions, instructions for continuing airworthiness and a release certificate, but not the piston. The site gives TCCA approval number C-RA22-016D and says the kit is approved for installation on Canadian, US and European registered aircraft. The seal is not compatible with phosphate ester hydraulic fluid (Skydrol). Spinner washers are also listed in the Cirrus collection.

Approvals

New parts are made under Supplemental Type Certificates, Part Design Approvals or Repair Design Approvals in Canada and the United States and ship with a Transport Canada release certificate (Form One), which the FAA recognises as equivalent to FAA Form 8130-3 under the bilateral agreement, so they are eligible for installation on US-registered aircraft.
