About Malpensa Aeroporto

Malpensa Aeroporto is an online guide to Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) in Italy. It is not the official airport website. The site is run by Plan Your Trips, S.L., a small company in Barcelona, Spain.

The airport is in Ferno, Varese, about 49 km northwest of Milan. It is the largest international airport in Milan and one of three airports in the area. It serves Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria and the Swiss canton of Ticino.

The site says the airport had about 31 million passengers in 2025. In 2024 it was the 22nd busiest airport in Europe, with about 28.5 million travelers. It is the second busiest airport in Italy after Rome Fiumicino.

The airport has two passenger terminals. Terminal 1 handles international, Schengen and non-Schengen flights, and most airlines use it. Terminal 2 is used only by easyJet and handles low cost flights.

Cargolux Italia, DHL Aviation and FedEx Express use the airport as a hub. Amazon Air has a focus city there. Albastar, easyJet, Neos, Wizz Air, Malta Air and Ryanair have operating bases at the airport.

Passengers can use bars, shops, ATMs, currency exchange, VAT refunds, a nursery, play areas and conference rooms. Transport options include buses, taxis, the Malpensa Express train, private transfers and car hire. A shuttle runs between terminals in about 15 minutes.

The site also has pages on flight status, parking, car hire and passenger tips. Its contact page includes a form for questions about the site. The site states that it has no direct or indirect relationship with the airport.
