London Air Services

London Air Services (LAS) is a private helicopter charter operator with its head office and hangar at the South Terminal of Vancouver International Airport in Richmond, British Columbia. It flies AW139 twin-engine helicopters for corporate, leisure and other clients between cities, fly-in communities and remote sites in British Columbia and Washington State. The site says the company has been active for decades but gives no founding year.

Approximate flight times from Vancouver given on the site include Whistler Blackcomb 30 minutes, Victoria 30 minutes, Tofino 60 minutes, Seattle (KBFI) 60 minutes and Osoyoos 75 minutes.

Aircraft

The fleet is the AgustaWestland AW139, with seating for up to 12 adult passengers and 660 lbs of interior cargo space. The company lists Category A twin-engine capability, dual-pilot IFR capability, a landing radius of about 100 feet, and one aircraft fitted with a Full Ice Protection System. Avionics named include EGPWS, TCAS, ADS-B and a four-axis digital autopilot.

Safety

LAS holds Wyvern Wingman certification, takes part in independent audits and runs a Safety Management System. Pilots hold Airline Transport Pilot ratings and receive AW139 factory training and annual simulator courses.
