About Leadville Lake County Airport FBO

Leadville Lake County Airport (LXV) is North America's highest public use airport, at 9,934 feet above sea level. The airport's own website describes an FBO on the field that serves pilots who visit the Colorado Rockies.

The FBO is open seven days a week from 07:00 to 17:00, with on call service after hours. The pilot lounge is open around the clock and has a restroom, TV, computer, free Wi-Fi and comfortable seating. The site also lists two courtesy vans, short term hangar space, ramp parking and airport merchandise.

The airport says it offers access to eight ski resorts within an hour's drive, plus summer recreation in Lake County. The site also hosts airport documents, hangar information and a page on high altitude testing.

Call the airport office to confirm fuel, hangar space and after hours service before you arrive, especially in winter.
