LA Flight School

LA Flight School (Los Angeles Flight School) is a pilot training academy at Van Nuys Airport (KVNY) in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, at 7900 Balboa Blvd, Suite D3. It trains one-on-one with FAA-certified instructors seven days a week from 9 am to 9 pm, from discovery flights through to an airline pilot program, on a glass-cockpit fleet backed by a Redbird MCX full-motion simulator.

The school says course pricing is fixed and all-in, with financing and payment plans available for every course, and that most private pilot students finish in two to four months flying two to three times a week. Simulator hours in the Redbird MCX count toward many ratings. Training at a busy towered airport is presented as a way to build radio work and decision-making from the first lesson.

Cirrus

LA Flight School trains in Cirrus aircraft. The Turbo Cirrus SR22 is described on its own page as the most advanced aircraft in the fleet, a high-performance glass-cockpit airplane with the CAPS whole-airframe parachute and turbocharged performance. Students can earn their license in it through the school's Turbo Cirrus Private Pilot course, and licensed pilots can take Cirrus transition training. The site also compares the SR20 and SR22 and runs a discovery flight in the SR22.
