KAL Aviation

KAL Aviation was established in the early 1980s in Mombasa, Kenya, as a supplier of aircraft parts and aeronautical services, and later added aircraft charter. It is a Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) approved supplier of aircraft spare parts, consumables and lubricants for general aviation, and also offers maintenance, cargo and passenger charter, leasing and air ambulance services.

Aircraft parts and consumables

KAL distributes rotable components, critical materials and maintenance supplies from its Kenyan headquarters, supported by warehouses in the USA, Europe and the Middle East. Brands stocked include LPS, Eastman, Mobil Jet, Cessna and Avlabs. It focuses on these platforms:

• De Havilland Dash 8
• De Havilland Twin Otter (DHC-6)

Maintenance

KAL Aviation Engineering is a KCAA approved maintenance organisation for business jets, turboprops and piston aircraft. Work includes in-house airframe and turbine engine maintenance, major phase checks, wheel, brake and battery overhaul and non-destructive testing (NDT).

Charter

The company offers passenger, VIP and cargo charter across Africa and worldwide, including access to large freighters such as the IL-76, B747F and AN-124.
