Association of business jet brokers, dealers and service companies
About International Aircraft Dealers Association
The International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA) is an association of accredited business aircraft dealers and brokers operating globally. Founded in 1991, it serves a worldwide network of professional members who specialize in the acquisition and sale of pre-owned business aircraft of all makes and models.
IADA sets the global standard for business aircraft transactions through a rigorous dealer accreditation program administered by a third-party firm, Joseph Allan, LLC. Accredited members must meet high standards and undergo annual re-accreditation to maintain their membership. These members represent about 17% of aircraft dealers worldwide and conduct more than half of all pre-owned aircraft transactions globally, averaging 1,600 sales and $15 billion in volume annually.
The association promotes honesty, transparency, and professional integrity via its original Code of Ethics. Members agree to uphold these principles in all dealings to protect owner interests and promote market efficiency. The association fosters collaboration and shared knowledge among members.
IADA offers several membership categories including accredited dealers, certified brokers, product and service members, OEM members, and affiliated associations. Product and service members include companies focused on finance, legal, tax, escrow, maintenance, and other support areas related to aircraft transactions. New product and service members require sponsorship by three accredited dealers and board approval.
The association provides educational programs like IADA U and NextGen to support members and the wider business aviation industry. It also operates AircraftExchange, a global aircraft search tool for buyers and sellers. IADA supports philanthropy through its foundation, which offers scholarships and grants, including one with JSSI.
IADA is governed by a Board of Directors drawn from experienced dealers and brokers. Members operate in more than 100 countries and serve a broad range of clients. The association provides up-to-date market reports, press releases, whitepapers, and a blog to keep members informed.
