Innovative Sensor Technology IST AG

Innovative Sensor Technology IST AG designs and makes sensors. The company was founded in 1991. Its head office is in Ebnat-Kappel, Switzerland. It has about 500 employees around the world. It is part of the Endress+Hauser Group, which is based in Reinach, Switzerland.

The sensor range covers physical, chemical and biological sensing. Products include temperature sensors, thermal mass flow sensors, humidity sensors and modules, conductivity sensors and biosensors. The company also lists force, surface, strain, torque, density and viscosity sensors. It makes micro-heaters and infrared emitters too.

Customers can order standard sensors. The company also adapts sensors to a buyer's needs. It will work with a customer to develop new technology. The site says its sensors are known for accuracy and steady results in many measurement conditions.

The sensors go into measuring instruments for many uses. These include medical technology, process control, automation, electric vehicles, aerospace, test and measurement, and biotechnology. The industries list also names space, heating and air conditioning, renewable energy and bioprocessing.

The website has a sensor finder and a small shop. The shop sells popular standard sensors in small quantities. Buyers who need larger orders are asked to get in touch. Sections on silicon technology and OEM integration explain how the sensors are built into customer products.

News on the site includes a new cryo-temperature sensor for measuring at very low temperatures. The company showed new products across all sensor groups at Sensor and Test in Nuremberg. It also offers white papers on dew point measurement and on moisture in oil. Another topic is miniature temperature sensors.

The site is available in several languages, including English, German, French, Czech and Chinese. Prices can be shown in Swiss francs, euros or dollars. A language and currency check appears when a visitor first arrives. Other pages cover downloads, frequently asked questions, news and events, and jobs.
