About Harbour Air Services

Harbour Air started flying in 1982 along the coast of British Columbia. At that time, the company used just two seaplanes to support the forestry industry. Over the following decades, the airline expanded its operations significantly. It is now recognized as one of the largest airlines in the world that uses only seaplanes. The company runs up to 200 flights on a daily basis.

The airline connects 13 destinations on the West Coast. Its routes link downtown harbours and lakes in British Columbia and Seattle. Travelers can choose from several core services. These include scheduled flights between city centres, scenic aerial tours, and private charter flights. The scheduled network allows passengers to move directly between waterfront locations without using major airports.

Harbour Air operates a fleet of more than 40 aircraft. The fleet is made up of four different aircraft types. All are Canadian built de Havilland models. The group includes the Beaver, the Single Otter, and the Twin Otter. These floatplanes are designed for the coastal and harbour environments where the airline works.

In addition to passenger flying, the company provides other travel services. Parcel Express offers freight transport by air. Car services and group bookings are also available. Customers may purchase flight passes or digital gift cards for future travel. The Harbour Air Club and corporate programs like Turbobucks provide frequent travelers with additional options. Business travelers can use Harbour Air Connect and Harbour Air Business for managed travel.

The company states that safety is its number one priority. It continues to pursue growth and innovation. Harbour Air has announced plans to acquire Pacific Coastal Airlines. This acquisition is intended to broaden regional air service offerings throughout British Columbia. The airline also offers extra assistance and discounted travel programs for eligible passengers.
