Air Creebec
Air Creebec is a Cree-owned regional airline flying scheduled, charter and cargo services across Quebec and Ontario since 1982.
About Air Creebec
Air Creebec is a regional airline in Quebec and Ontario, Canada. It flies scheduled passenger flights, charter flights and cargo flights. The site says it serves corporate, mining, industrial and community needs, including time-sensitive trips in the north.
The airline was created by the Cree Nation. It was founded in June 1982 and flew its first flights on July 5. At the start, the Cree owned 51 percent and Austin Airways owned 49 percent. In 1988 the Cree bought all the remaining assets, which the site calls the largest commercial deal by an Indigenous group in Canada at the time.
A milestone came in 1992, when the airline flew its first all-Cree flight crew. That crew had two Cree pilots and a Cree flight attendant on an Ontario route. In 2012 the company opened its own hangar and fixed base operation at Montreal-Trudeau airport. A fixed base operation is a service center for private and charter aircraft.
The fleet has changed over time. In 2024 the airline added an ATR 72 Freighter to its cargo work. The site points to its large cargo door and modern systems. One retired Hawker Siddeley 748 now sits in the Canadian Aviation Museum in Windsor, Ontario.
Scheduled flights link major cities with northern communities. A new direct route joins Saguenay-Bagotville and Montreal-Trudeau, with two flights a day on weekdays from August 10, 2026. Ticket packages of 10 round trips are offered on routes such as Val-d'Or, Chibougamau and Saguenay.
The site also explains the Regional Air Access Program. It is supported by the Quebec transport ministry and applies to personal trips in certain regions. Passengers must confirm that they meet the rules when they book.
Cargo service moves goods and equipment across northern Quebec and Ontario, and the site offers cargo tracking. Charter service covers corporate teams, groups, industrial projects and special events. Other pages cover booking, check-in, baggage, tariffs, planning tips and careers.
