About Global Training Aviation

Global Training Aviation, also called GTA, is an aviation training company with its base in Madrid, Spain. It trains pilots, cabin crew and instructors for airline work. The company says it was founded in 2002. It describes more than two decades of aviation training.

GTA delivers training in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific. Its website says its quality is backed by the experience of Indra. Some courses are offered only in Spain, and the site also lists choices for Indonesia and Colombia. Students can pick the aircraft, the place and the start date through an online form.

The pilot courses are type ratings. A type rating is the training that lets a pilot fly one specific aircraft model. The site lists the A320, the B737, the ATR 72-600 and the ATR 72-500. Courses are tied to different authorities. These include EASA in Europe, DGCA India, Aerocivil Colombia, Indonesia and the Philippines. One course adds a JIT option.

GTA also trains instructors. The courses include SFI initial, TRI and SFI refresher, and TRI restricted. SFI and TRI are instructor ratings for simulators and aircraft types. For cabin crew, the company offers an EASA cabin crew course. It also offers training for airlines as a group.

The teaching method centers on group learning, advanced simulators and training that matches real operations. GTA says it goes beyond repeating procedures. Instructors use guided debriefs and competency-based lessons. These aim to build understanding, critical thinking and sound decisions. The site names its own approach as the ACT Method.

The company also offers other services. It rents out simulators for school use and for filming. It runs the Carlos Salas scholarships for young pilots. Success stories on the site include graduates who became first officers at airlines such as AirAsia, Air Nostrum, Corendon Airlines and Air India. It also reports graduation of a Flyadeal batch in Madrid.

The website has pages on courses, training devices, methodology, success stories and news. It also has articles on training quality and on new DGCA India rules. Pilots, cabin crew and instructors each have their own login area.
