Genel Havacılık

Genel Havacilik A.S. is an Istanbul business aviation company that has operated since 1983. It describes itself as a pioneer of business aviation in Turkiye, with experience in fixed wing and rotary wing operations and maintenance. Helicopters are one part of a wider business that also includes business jets, aircraft management and hangar services.

Helicopter services

• Helicopter charter: the company offers a Bell 407 with five seats and a range of 500 km, and says it can start an operation within one hour, using in-house maintenance for dispatch reliability
• Helicopter maintenance: base and line maintenance for Bell 206 and Bell 407, with mobile teams that can carry out checks and repairs on site
• Painting of business jets and helicopters by a dedicated team

Other services

Genel Havacilik holds an Air Operator Certificate for commercial operations under TDGCA and EU-OPS rules, and offers aircraft management, charter of business jets, maintenance, refurbishment, inspection and hangar services. Its listed fleet includes Bombardier Global and Dassault Falcon business jets alongside the helicopter.

Approvals and facilities

• Maintenance approvals from the Turkish DGCA, EASA and several other authorities, including Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Lebanon and Kazakhstan
• Maintenance sites at Istanbul Ataturk Airport (LTBA) and Sabiha Gokcen Airport (LTFJ), with 60,000 square metres in total, of which 20,000 are hangar space
• Two hangars at Ataturk Airport and five at Sabiha Gokcen Airport
