FlyPelican

FlyPelican is the trading name of Pelican Airlines Pty Ltd, a 100% Australian owned regional airline and aircraft charter company based in Newcastle, NSW. It flies 19 seat BAe Jetstream 32 twin turboprops on scheduled routes in New South Wales, the ACT and Queensland, and offers contracted and ad hoc charter anywhere in Australia, 24 hours a day.

Scheduled routes

Current scheduled services link Newcastle (Williamtown) with Sydney, Canberra and the Gold Coast, and Sydney with Narrabri and Cobar.

Charter services

• Corporate charter for business and government travel
• Private and group charter, such as sports, ski and tour groups
• FIFO charter for the mining, energy and resources sector
• Freight transport, using an external cargo pod and internal baggage hold
• Packages arranged with Pelican Travel, including ground transport, catering and accommodation

Fleet

The fleet is made up of BAe Jetstream 32 aircraft with 19 passenger seats and 2 flight crew. The aircraft has a pressurised, air conditioned cabin, an on board lavatory, a cruise speed of about 250 knots (460 km/h) and a maximum altitude of 25,000 feet. Range is about 700 km with 19 passengers or about 1,850 km with 12 or fewer, and maximum payload is 1,900 kg.
