FlyJets

FlyJets is an aviation marketplace, mapping engine and travel planning system. It gives travelers an automated route to chartering aircraft and connects flyers with aircraft providers. FlyJets is incorporated as a New York State Benefit Corporation, and it also functions as a full service, IATA certified travel agency.

As a benefit corporation, FlyJets aims to do well by doing good, with its duties directed to both shareholders and stakeholders. Its primary mission is to connect flyers and aircraft providers and to provide access to aviation worldwide. The site is aimed at travelers who want to find and book charter flights.

The charter marketplace lets people search outright charter availability and empty leg flights. It is an automated, end to end solution for charter aircraft and flights. Aircraft providers can list their availability and empty legs, and FlyJets builds custom dashboards and pricing algorithms for each of its aircraft provider partners.

FlyJets Exchange is a members area where clients can buy and sell charter seats and resell empty legs. It works alongside the marketplace. Clients can sign up and request access to the exchange, and the site confirms that all exchange functions are offered together with the marketplace.

The FLYGreen Initiative gives extra FLYRewards on each booking to users who offset part of their trip with carbon offsets or fly with some sustainable aviation fuel, where available. This is part of the company's stated benefit corporation approach.

The FLY Report is a digital newspaper and newsletter about aviation, space, eVTOLs, renewables and travel. The FLY Foundation is a non profit that supports aviation education, advancement in aviation and radio communication technology, and safe and sustainable flight.

The idea began in a business school course in the summer of 2012, according to the company. The team includes a founder and chief executive, a sales director, an art and creative director and a lead software engineer. Aircraft operators who want to list aircraft can email the team to set up a listing.
