About FlightSense

FlightSense is software for flight schools. The company says its platform runs training and daily operations in one place. That covers the training record, scheduling, dispatch, compliance and billing. The site does not give a head office address.

Training is the core of the product. An instructor records a voice debrief, and the debrief becomes the training record. The software predicts ACS tasks that the instructor can score and comment on. Lessons can be graded in traditional, numerical or FITS formats.

Course progress and student insights roll up from these scores. The site says schools can spot at-risk students before a checkride. It also says schools can track instructor consistency across a program, cohort after cohort.

Operations tools cover flight release, digital dispatch and maintenance. The flight release checks currency, airworthiness, squawks and weather. A grounded aircraft or a lapsed pilot cannot be dispatched without a logged override. An open Do-Not-Fly squawk blocks dispatch until it is cleared.

Billing is also built in. The site says each finished lesson creates an invoice from meter readings, instruction and rates set by the school. Staff review and finalize the invoice, then track it from draft to paid in one shared inbox.

Compliance tools let students and instructors keep their own medicals, certificates, ratings and currency records. Each stage check is signed by a chief instructor using a one-time code sent to a phone. The site says an FAA principal inspector accepted FlightSense as a Part 141 school's recordkeeping system.

The about page says the company began after its founders saw paper logs and disconnected apps slow flight training. Taylor Horsager is the chief executive officer. The home page lists more than 750 pilots. Flight schools can request a demo, and the company offers an iOS app.
