About FlightLine Technologies

FlightLine Technologies runs a fractional co-ownership program for private aircraft. Members own a share of a specific airplane based at their home airport. The company says it buys the aircraft, structures the ownership, insures it, maintains it and runs the scheduling software.

The program has two tiers. Ascent is flying today and uses Cirrus piston aircraft. The site lists a live Ascent piston aircraft with a cruise speed of 214 knots and a range of 1,021 nautical miles. Pulse is the coming turbine tier for regional trips. Ascent members get first access to Pulse when it opens.

Costs are set by one monthly fee. The site says the fee covers fixed and variable costs. It says there are no occupied hourly rates and no fuel surcharges. Each aircraft is shared by up to five owners. A backup aircraft is available when the member's plane is booked or down. There is no long-term commitment, and the site describes a clear way out.

Every aircraft carries autoland, which can bring it down at a suitable airport. Ascent adds a whole-airframe parachute. Each aircraft has permanent Starlink installation for high-speed connectivity. Owners who are not pilots can join and choose a qualified pilot from the Pro-Pilot Marketplace.

Reserving a position takes a refundable $500 deposit. The deposit holds the position and tells the company the tier and home field. The company reviews fit before any membership is signed. The site lists open shares, including a 2026 Cirrus SR22T at San Carlos and a 2023 model at a lower entry price.

The founders are pilots and operators. Donny Malinoff is the CEO and founder and has held a commercial certificate for 22 years. Stan Golubtsov is CTO and co-founder. Alex Bauer is chief financial officer, and Steve Thinglum is general counsel. The site says the program has no charter flights in its membership model.
