Elon Aviation
Flight training at Burlington-Alamance Regional Airport, North Carolina
About Elon Aviation
Elon Aviation is a flight school and aircraft rental company in North Carolina. The company started in 2014 with one instructor and one airplane. It has grown to serve students at two airports in the state. The business works with people who want to learn to fly for personal reasons and those who want to become professional pilots.
The school trains fixed wing pilots at all experience levels. It offers courses for private pilot, commercial pilot, flight instructor, and instrument ratings. New students can begin with an introductory and discovery flight to see what flying is like. The instructors aim to teach each student according to how that student plans to use their license.
Elon Aviation provides accelerated training plans for students who want to complete their certificates quickly. It also offers training for people who have flown before and need to get back into aviation or move to a higher rating. After finishing training, pilots can rent aircraft from the company once they complete the rental agreement.
The fleet is made up of Beechcraft, Cessna, and Piper aircraft. The Burlington campus has multiple Cessna 172s, a Cessna 152, a Cessna T182T, Piper Archers, a Piper Arrow, and Beechcraft Barons. The Greensboro campus has a Cessna 172M, a Cessna 152, a Piper Warrior, and Piper Cherokees. Many airplanes feature modern Garmin touchscreen GPS units, electronic flight instruments, autopilots, and engine monitoring systems. The fleet also includes a Cessna T182T with an oxygen system and angle of attack indicator.
A PFC CR12 Pro Flight Simulator supports training at the school. The simulator can mimic every aircraft in the fleet. Students may use it for instrument currency and to credit time toward private pilot, instrument rating, and commercial pilot requirements.
Elon Aviation operates from Burlington Alamance Regional Airport and Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro. The website lists student success stories, weather and flight planning tools, funding resources, and a frequently asked questions page about training and aircraft rental.
The company provides safe, cost effective, high quality flight training and well maintained aircraft. It offers competitive pricing and exceptional customer service for all students. The website provides funding resources, training materials, and an online scheduling system for booking flights.
