DSP Helicopters

DSP Helicopters is a UK helicopter charter company. It arranges bespoke private and corporate charters, executive travel and event travel across the United Kingdom and the near Continent. The company also offers scenic and leisure flights, and survey and inspection flights when required.

The company works from two operating bases. Its main Scottish base is Balado Airfield, near Kinross, which covers Scotland and the Highlands. Its second base is London Elstree Heliport, in Borehamwood.

Clients use the helicopters for trips to motor sport events such as the British Grand Prix and Le Mans. The company also flies guests to Royal Ascot, to music festivals such as Glastonbury, and to golf in Scotland and Ireland. Airport transfers, business travel and golf tour charters are also offered.

The fleet is three AgustaWestland AW109 Trekker helicopters. Each has six cabin seats, a cruise speed of 140 knots and a range of 2 hours 25 minutes. The helicopters are twin engine, IFR capable, and certified for day and night flying. The company says that up to seven passengers can fly, depending on various factors. Two of the aircraft were built in 2025 and 2026, and the third was built in 2019.

DSP Helicopters holds UK CAA Air Operator Certificate GB2501. It is a member of the Air Charter Association and the British Helicopter Association. A 24/7 operations team coordinates landing permissions, routing, weather monitoring and ground connections for each flight.

The company has an Accountable Manager, a Head of Flight Operations, an Operations Manager and a Safety and Compliance Manager. The company says it puts clients first, and that its pilots are highly experienced.
