DJA Aviation is an aviation insurance broker in Johannesburg, South Africa. It arranges cover for private owners, corporate operators and commercial fleets.

The company was formed in 1969 and has focused on aviation insurance since 1976. It says it is the largest dedicated aviation insurance broking firm in South Africa and that it holds a very deep pool of aviation insurance knowledge on the African continent. DJA is a member of the i capital Group and is an authorised financial services provider.

DJA builds a portfolio for each client. It tries to balance cost, cover, service and security. The company works with aviation underwriters to offer cover at competitive rates for commercial, corporate, private and specialised aerospace clients. Its work ranges from hull all risks to complex liability needs.

The product list is wide. It includes hull all risks and hull ground risks, hull deductible or owner's excess, and hull war and allied perils. It covers third party liability, aerodrome owners and operators legal liability, hangar airside liability and private airstrip, aerodrome and helipad liability. Other products include seat personal accident insurance, loss of licence cover and workshop insurance.

DJA also covers lighter aircraft. Its products include gliders, microlights and a Light Sport 1 scheme. Pistonsure and Turbosure cover engine breakdown for piston and turbine engines.

Pilots can buy pilot excess cover for fixed wing, or fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft. Cover can run for a month, for a year or on an ongoing basis paid by debit order.

The company also offers Air Rescue DJA. This is a 24-hour emergency medical assistance service. DJA provides it through a specialist provider, Blackplan Incident Management. Clients can ask for a quote through the company's contact channels.
