About Défense Conseil International

Defense Conseil International, known as DCI Group, helps other countries build up their armed forces and security forces. It does this by passing on know-how from the French armed forces. The group says it is the operator of the French Ministry for the Armed Forces for this kind of transfer to partner countries.

DCI says it has been the only company of its kind in Europe for more than 50 years. Over that time it has built a network covering more than 50 countries. Its partners are public bodies and industrial companies. They want what the group calls the French model, which it says has been proven in operations abroad.

The group offers solutions for capability development. This means helping a force gain the people, skills and equipment it needs. The goal is to let partners meet regional and international security challenges. The group says its teams are mainly experts from the French Army, Air and Space Force, Navy and Gendarmerie, along with the French defence procurement agency, the DGA.

DCI works from France in centers shared with the armed forces. It also works directly in partner countries. The group says it wants to modernize its resources and build new services. It adds that new fields of expertise and new international alliances are guided by a board of directors and an executive committee.

Helicopters are part of its work. The site says DCI took pride in opening the helicopter flypast on the French national holiday on 14 July. It reports that the first six helicopters over the Champs-Elysees were operated or maintained by DCI. The site also lists companies in the group, including Atechsys and HeliDax.

Quality marks are listed on the site. DCI Group has held ISO 9001 certification since 1996. It has held ISO 37001 certification since 2019. ISO 37001 is a standard for managing the risk of bribery.

The group shows its presence at defense exhibitions. It named Eurosatory in June 2026 and MSPO 2025 in Kielce, Poland. The website lists news, divisions, suppliers and a contact form.
