Dedrone

Dedrone is a counter-drone and airspace security company, now part of Axon, that provides AI and machine learning enabled detection, tracking, identification and mitigation of unauthorised drones for airports, critical infrastructure, utilities, prisons, stadiums, public safety agencies, governments and the military. Headquartered at 45662 Terminal Drive in Sterling, Virginia, with offices in Germany and the United Kingdom, the company says its technology secures more than 926 sites globally and that its AI-driven autonomous command and control platform uses behaviour model filters, neural networks and AI-based imagery trained on more than 18 million images, going beyond simple sensor correlation. In April 2024 Dedrone became the first counter-drone company to receive SAFETY Act Designation from the US Department of Homeland Security, and Frost and Sullivan named it the growth and innovation leader on its 2025 Frost Radar for UAS communication disruptors.

Customer quotes on the site include Louisiana State Police, which used Dedrone counter-UAS technology during the Super Bowl LIX public safety deployment, the utility ConEdison, which integrates airspace data into its security processes, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, which identified Dedrone as the market leader after an industry study, and an airport operator that uses the system to be alerted to drone incursions and protect passengers and operations; Newcastle International Airport appears among the customer logos. Dedrone also publishes drone public safety analytics and counter-drone guidance for the security industry.
