Comet Air

Comet Air Ltd is a company in New Milton, Hampshire, that supplies aircraft rotables, parts, ground support equipment and maintenance tooling. It says it was established in 1999 and supports Airbus and Boeing customer airlines and MROs. One of its services is leasing aircraft engine stands.

Engine stand leasing

Comet Air says it holds over 30 engine stands in its lease pool, kept at its UK storage facility and in Belgium. It says all stands can be shipped within 24 hours of a lease enquiry. Stands come from manufacturers including Frank Brown and Son, AGSE, Dedienne, Rhinestahl and Hydro. Each stand has a pre and post delivery inspection by an in-house specialist.

The pool covers engines including CFM56-3, CFM56-5A/B, CFM56-5C, CFM56-7B, LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B, V2500 A1/A5, GE CF6-80C, RB211-535C and E4, CF34-8E and CF34-10E.

Facilities

The main site at New Milton has a bonded store, quarantine store, records room, packing and dispatch area, GSE and tool store, workshop and an external equipment bay. There is a storage facility at Bransgore, near Christchurch. The company is registered in England, number 09992393.
