About Coflyt

Coflyt is an aircraft ownership app for general aviation owners, partnerships, flying clubs and flight schools. The company, Coflyt, LLC, was formed in May 2019 by pilots Tal Clark and Eric Hill, with Stephen Rainey as CTO, and the app was launched in September 2019 at the AOPA Fly-In in Tullahoma, Tennessee. Its office is at 418 W Garden Street, Suite 210, Pensacola, Florida. The app runs on iPhone, iPad and Android and combines inspection and maintenance tracking, scheduling and billing in one place.

Features

  • Maintenance insights: track mechanical issues and squawks, organise them by aircraft sub-system and share them with your A&P
  • Aircraft status: required VFR and IFR inspection status, oil change intervals, custom maintenance reminders, and automatic import and tracking of one-time and recurring ADs
  • Reservations and scheduling: aircraft availability, planned maintenance and communication between users
  • Shared aircraft: digital flight sheets, usage analysis and flight maps across all users
  • Finances and payments: automatic charges for flight time and monthly costs, payments to a central account and group expense tracking
  • FAA compliant digital logs

Coflyt also sells MRO shop software for Part 145 shops, with estimates, work orders, technician time, parts inventory and customer approvals, and customers of those shops can see their digital maintenance logs in the Coflyt app. The site lists Aircraft Spruce, AirSync and VREF Vault as partners, and The Ohio State University Flight Team uses Coflyt to track the status of its competition aircraft. Coflyt also positions itself as a replacement platform for flight schools and clubs that used MyFBO.com.

Work with Cirrus aircraft

Coflyt has a dedicated Cirrus page. It describes Cirrus inspection templates for account set up, tracking of inspections and maintenance intervals, AD, SB and life limited component compliance, shared aircraft management, squawks sent to your A&P, and features specific to Cirrus aircraft such as CAPS and engine cycle tracking. The page quotes the premium aircraft features for Cirrus owners at $14 a month (rates change; confirm with the company). The company blog also has a post on the items SR22 pilots track with Coflyt.
