CiCaré USA

Cicaré USA is the United States arm of Cicaré, a maker of ultralight helicopters. It was created to give North and Central American customers direct access to Cicaré helicopters. The company provides sales, support and service for customers in the Americas.

The range includes the Cicaré 8, a two seat turbo model, and the Cicaré 7T, also a two seat turbo model. The site also lists the Cicaré 7BT and 7B, which are one seat models, and a Cicaré Trainer. The website describes the helicopters as adventure machines that are available as kits for owner building.

The company says light sport production versions are coming soon. The Cicaré 8 offered in the US is powered by a Rotax 915 iS engine, according to the company's history page.

Support and services include a Builder Assist Program. Builders work along side one of the company's A&P technicians on a rapid build at the facility, and they remain the builder of record. The company also offers maintenance services for experimental aircraft, and it runs a builders log for owners.

The company has a long history with ultralight helicopters. Its founder built his first helicopter in 1958. The site says the CH-4 of 1980 was the world's first ultralight. Cicaré SA was founded in 2005 as a series production plant in Latin America.

Certification of the Cicaré 8 began in 2015. In 2022 the Cicaré 8 achieved what the company describes as the first 600 kg certification under German LTF-ULH. US operations started in 2023, with aircraft kits, engines and optional items shipped from Reno, Nevada.

The company is an ASTM organizational member. It offers training and safety content, a news section and a loyalty program called the Cicaré Circle.
