Chicago Executive Flight School

Chicago Executive Flight School has operated at Chicago Executive Airport in Wheeling since 1994. The school provides comprehensive training programs for aspiring pilots. It welcomes beginners who have never flown before and experienced aviators who want to advance their skills or add new certificates.

The school focuses on safety, confidence, and real world aviation skills. Instructors use a hands on approach with individual guidance to help students master both fundamentals and advanced flight maneuvers. The training philosophy emphasizes that students must take initiative, push themselves, and own their progress to succeed in aviation.

Core programs include private pilot training for individual goals. The school offers a specific path for students who want to earn a private pilot license before college. For children and teenagers, the youth aviation program builds confidence, discipline, and STEM interest through observation and hands on learning experiences in the cockpit.

Students train in a diverse fleet that includes Cessna 150 and Cessna 172 aircraft in several models. The fleet also features a Beechcraft Sundowner C23 and a Tecnam P92 Echo MKII. On the ground, students use a Frasca simulator that serves as an FAA approved training device to develop essential procedures and skills.

Beyond primary training, the school runs the ACFI Program to help new certified flight instructors grow into confident, safety focused educators. This program provides individual training, guidance, and ongoing development for instructors early in their teaching careers.

Prospective students can explore financing options and scholarships to help fund their training. The school also sells gift certificates for introductory flights, buddy flights, aviation gifts, and video packages, making flight experiences accessible to hobbyists and future students alike.

Chicago Executive Flight School fosters a community of aviation enthusiasts. The school hosts events and informative seminars where students and pilots can network, learn from industry experts, and explore advancements in flight technology.
