Bob Harris Flying School

Bob Harris Flying School (BHFS), formerly Hinchinbrook Air Services, is an owner-operated flying school at Innisfail in far north Queensland that has trained pilots for over 50 years. Bob Harris has instructed at the school since 1979 and is a CASA flight examiner; he and Carole Harris plan each student's training. The school also flies charter and scenic flights.

Training

• Trial instruction flights
• Recreational Pilot Licence, as a CASA licence or RAAus certificate, plus RAAus to GA conversions and the reverse
• Private Pilot Licence
• Commercial Pilot Licence: integrated 150 hour or non-integrated 200 hour course
• Night VFR, private instrument rating and single or multi-engine instrument ratings
• Flight instructor rating, tailwheel and manual propeller pitch endorsements, spinning, aerobatics and formation endorsements
• Flight reviews and instrument and instructor proficiency checks

• Holds a CASR Part 142 training certificate for training and checking for other operators
• Fleet: Bristell S LSA, Cessna 152, Cessna 172, Bellanca Decathlon
• Category B synthetic flight trainer used for instrument training
• Innisfail airport has a cross runway, runway lighting and four instrument approaches
