BlueBox Systems is a German software company that makes freight tracking software for air and ocean cargo. It gives forwarders, shippers and logistics technology companies real-time tracking data and predicted arrival times. The company says it brings German precision to the clean-up of complex shipment data.

BlueBox collects event data from many sources and checks it. It adds analysis of past trends, using AI, to improve accuracy. Customers can reach the data through an API or through a customer portal. The company says its predicted arrival times are 95 percent accurate.

The platform tracks more than 50 shipping lines and 150 airlines. It uses carrier, rail, terminal and AIS data. Users get a home page that shows all global shipments on interactive maps and dashboards. Shipments that are at risk or behind schedule are highlighted, and one click opens the details.

The main product is BlueBoxCargo. It has an event timeline, columns that users can change, filters, document uploads and downloadable event summaries. It also links out to carrier sites. Customers can share shipment views with their own clients by link, or give them access to see their shipments and reports.

BlueBox also offers CO2 tracking. It bases emissions estimates on the actual aircraft or vessel, including its age, engine setup, fuel type and load capacity, not on average figures for a trade lane. Reports follow EU Scope 3 standards and can be downloaded by customer, time period or trade lane. The company says it offers a forecasting tool for airfreight emissions. A separate trade lane tool gives carrier, compliance and CO2 reports that users can view or export to Excel.

Customers named by the company include Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, Siemens Digital Logistics, the WACO network, 4flow, SFS, Transporeon, Easy Fresh and Windlog in Brazil. BlueBox attends logistics events in places such as Doha, Las Vegas, Dubai, Panama, Riyadh and Thessaloniki.
